It’s that time of year again….the MOST wonderful time of the year!!! As crazy as I seem for putting my tree up so early, I wanted to help you with tips and tricks early in the season. I found so many good deals this year, one being my tree! I am going to go step by step on my decorating process below. I will link items throughout the post and at all together at the bottom.
This was my first year to use an artificial tree, and I LOVE it. I went with the Prince Flock 7″ tree from King Christmas. I will probably never go back to a real tree. Although I miss the smell, I don’t have to water it, or vacuum dead needle leaves off the floor.
My galvanized bucket tree collar is from Walmart, and only sold in stores. I could not link that one, but I found an identical tree collar from target. I also have linked a few other similar, cute options at the end of this post.
This adorable tree skirt is from target. I used it last year, and I am so glad that brought it back again this year! The poms are so fun and give the traditional tree skirt a little something extra! Target had so many other cute options with ruffles, patterns, and more. I have linked them at the bottom.
Picking out ribbon at Hobby Lobby was so much fun. I decided to go with a wide silver deco mesh, and pair it with a textured cream ribbon. This gave the tree some dimension and extra fluff! Next, I layered patterns with texture. I used a gorgeous neutral plaid ribbon, the textured cream ribbon, and a gold polka dot ribbon. Applying the ribbon on an artificial tree is so easy. You just grab the ribbon at the top, wrap it around the tree branch, and continue that method down the tree until you reach your desired length. I like to vary my ribbon lengths.
After the ribbon, I put in fillers throughout the tree. I used furry owls and miniature pinecones throughout. Next I added ornaments. I used champagne, gold, and silver tones. I got mine from a store called AT-HOME, but I found some really good combinations from target that I will link at the end of this post.
Lastly, to form my tree topper, I placed 2 large large poinsettias around the top. I had the artificial branches on my mantle, so I grabbed those and stuck them behind the poinsettias. Eventually, I would like to get some more glamorous fillers and lights up at the top. But this is perfect for now!
There is nothing like drinking a cup of warm coffee next to a decorated Christmas tree. It makes me so happy!! If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I will keep ya’ll in the loop as a pick out wrapping paper and ribbon for the present under the tree!
XOXO,
Claire
